Minor Non-Exam Football League vs Fermoy Tues May 23rd

Played in Trabeg. Fermoy started very well and Nemo struggled to get to grips with them early on. However as the first half developed Nemo began to find the range. At half time the sides were level. In the second half Nemo totally took over and played some very exciting attacking football. They took some good goals and in the end they won comfortably on a score line of 3-12 to 0-10. They now are joint top of this league with one round of matches left. Well done lads.  

Girls Fe 14 B Football League Semi-Final vs Shamrocks Wed May 24th 

Played away the girls came up against an excellent Shamrocks side. Despite their best efforts the girls could never get close to Shamrocks on the score board. Shamrocks had a comfortable win. But great credit to the Nemo girls for getting to the semi-final.  Well done to all involved.

Fe 13 B Hurling League vs Fr O’Neill’s Wed May 24th 

Played at home in Trabeg this was the boy’s first hurling game of the year. They started very well and with Ross Corkery, Billy O’Neill and Rory Hogan excellent in the middle third they looked good for a win. They were 1-02 to 0-01 ahead coming up to half time but their opponents struck for a late goal and a point to leave the sides level at half time. In truth Nemo should have been ahead if they had taken their chances. The second half was a different story. Fr O’Neill’s made some good switches and soon they started to dominate. Despite the best efforts of the excellent Nemo goalie, Ryan O’Neill, Nemo were soon a few scores down. The boys started to go for goals and they did get one back but it was too little too late. In the end they lost 6-05 to 2-03. A good outing for their first game of the year. I’m sure they will have better days soon.

Girls Fe 10 Football Challenge vs Ballygarvan Wed May 24th 

Played away 30 eager Nemo girls made their way to Ballygarvan last week for an entertaining football challenge. Both clubs made 3 teams and each team played each other once. The Nemo girls were excellent and won all 9 games. Many thanks to Ballygarvan for hosting the challenge.

Fe 11 Hurling League vs Bishopstown Wed May 24th 

Played away the Fe 11 boys had enough for two 9 aside teams. Both Nemo teams competed very well but Bishopstown had some excellent hurlers. They showed some great touches and Nemo were bettered in both games. It was a good experience for the boys and they played very well.

Fe 12 C Camogie League vs Tracton Wed May 24th 

Played in Trabeg this was the Fe 12 girl’s first camogie league game of the year. They played very well and it was a very entertaining game. Tracton were on top on the score board at half time but Nemo stormed into the game in the second half. They got some excellent scores and hurled really well. Despite this Tracton prevailed. It was a close run game and an excellent performance by the Nemo girls in their first league outing of the year.

Girls Fe 12 B Football League vs Carrigaline Thurs May 25th 

Played at home this was a great game. Both sides got stuck in from the start and there was never more than a score between them. Late in the game with the sides level Carrigaline struck for the winning goal. Final score was 2-05 to 1-05 for Carriagline. Excellent performance by the Nemo girls who battled barely right to the final whistle.

Fe 9 Football League vs Bride Rovers Sat May 27th 

Played in Trabeg, 30 eager Nemo boys participated in an entertaining football game with Bride Rovers last Saturday. The Nemo boys demonstrated all the skills they have been learning at the Saturday morning training sessions. They scored some great goals and points and won well. Bride Rovers were very game but Nemo were just that bit better than them on the day.

Fe 10 Football League vs Macroom Sat May 27th 

A home game for the Fe 10 boys. Both clubs had enough players for two teams. Nemo Dubh played some excellent attacking football and had a 7-04 to 2-03 win. Nemo Glas had a titanic battle. This game was nip and tuck throughout but right at the end Nemo scored a very fortunate goal to sneak the win. Final score was 3-04 to 2-04. Two excellent games with great skills on display from the players from both clubs.

Fe 12 P2 Hurling League vs Carrigaline Sat May 27th 

A home game for the Fe 12 hurlers. Carrigaline had a great start and they were soon well ahead on the score board. Eventually Nemo managed to get into the game but they left themselves a mountain to climb. Nemo played very well in the second half and restored pride after their rocky start. Final score was 6-04 to 1-04 for Carriagline but the Nemo mentors were pleased with the overall performance and heart the Nemo boys showed especially in the second half.

Fe 13 P1 Football League vs Douglas Sat May 27th 

This was a great game with our near neighbors. It was played in Douglas and it was a game that had everything. Goal mouth scrambles and end to end play throughout. Douglas had the better start and were well ahead at the short whistle. But Nemo dominated the second half and really got stuck in to their opponents. It made for a great finale. But Douglas had done enough in the first half. Eventually they won 4-08 to 3-07. Great display of skill and heart by the Nemo boys which augers well for them. The Nemo coaches were delighted with their display.

Fe 15 Munster 10 aside Football Tournament Sat May 27th 

The Nemo Fe 15 boys who are not doing their junior cert travelled to Carrigaline for an entertaining football tournament last Saturday. The games were 10 aside and played from 20 meter to 20 meter using the smaller goals. First up for Nemo was Mitchelstown. This was a great game with end to end play. The lead switched hands several times but in the end a physically powerful Mitchelstown selection came out on top on a score of 6-03 to 4-05. Next for Nemo were the hosts Carrigaline, The first half was excellent from Nemo. But they failed to take some gilt edged goal chances. This let them a few scores behind at half time. In the second half Nemo tired – they had no break since the first game with Mitchelstown. Carrigaline got on top and got some excellent scores to win the game and indeed the tournament. It was a very good experience for the Nemo boys who played some great football on the day.

Fe 12 Football Challenge vs Bantry Sun May 28th 

The Fe 12 footballers made the long trip to Bantry last Sunday for an entertaining challenge game. 26 players travelled. 2 games were played and both were very competitive. Nemo came out on top ion both games thanks to late scoring bursts. The boys had great time and everyone was well looked after by the generous hosts, After Bantry the boys headed to Rosscarbery for some crazy golf and ice cream. It was a great day out and everyone really had great time. Many thanks to Bantry for hosting.

Girls Fe 14 A County Quarter Final vs Mourneabbey Sun May 28th 

By virtue of winning the mid-cork league last week the Fe 14 girls qualified for the county competition. They played Mourneabbey away on the quarter final last Sunday. The girls were always on top in this game and playing some excellent football they dominated from start to finish. In the end they won 2-14 to 1-03. Next up for the girls is Glanmire on June 11th in the county semi-final. It promises to be a cracking game and the girls are really looking forward to it.

Fe 9 Hurling League vs Inniscarra Sun May 28th 

Played in Trabeg Nemo had 20 players for this league encounter with Inniscarra. Both games were very close with the Nemo boys shading it in one and losing narrowly in the other. Both sets of players showed great skill and determination. Honours even with a win a piece. Everyone went home happy.

Fe 12 Camogie League vs Barryroe Mon May 29th 

Played away the girls put up a great display against Barryroe last Monday. The game was very completive with the Nemo girls showing great skill and heart throughout. The more experienced Barryroe girls took more of their chances and in the end this was the difference between the two teams. Final score was 3-03 to 1-01 for Barryroe. Well done to the Nemo girls on their great display.

Girls Fe 12 A Football League vs Eire Og Tues May 30th 

Played away the girls came up against a very well organized and strong Eire Og team. The Nemo girls tried their best but they never looked like winning the game. Eire Og played some great football and they had a comfortable win despite the best efforts of the Nemo girls.

Fe 11 Football League vs Valley Rovers Weds May 31st 

Played in Trabeg this was a very competitive outing for the young Nemo boys. Two games were played. The football was a very high standard. Both games were very close with excellent skills on display from both sets of players. Nemo Glas won narrowly while Nemo Dubh were less fortunate and lost by a score. Won one, lots one, honors even and in truth a fair result.

Fe 12 P2 Hurling League vs Ballygiblin Thurs Jun 1st 

Played in Trabeg this proved to be a great contest. Scores were hard to come by at both ends as the defenses were in to form. Especially good was the visitor’s goalie who made a number of impressive saves. Indeed this was to prove the difference between the teams. Ballygiblin won on a final score of 1-01 to 0-03. Very good performance by the Nemo boys who showed a lot of skill and determination.

Girls Fe 12 B Football League vs St Vals Fri Jun 2nd 

Played in Trabeg this was an excellent game of football. The sides were very evenly matched and the lead exchange hands on many occasions. There was some great passages of play – end to end stuff. But in the end the Nemo girl’s ability to take their scoring chances when they came proved to be decisive. They won in the end on a score line of 3-09 to 3-06.

Girls Fe 10 Football Blitz Sat Jun 3rd 

Played in the Glen the Fe 10 girls had a good outing last Saturday. Go-games rules were adhered to and the girls played several games against local opposition. They played very well and were competitive in all games. Good outing and the girls enjoyed their morning of football.

Fe 8 Camogie Blitz Sat Jun 3rd 

Played in Brian Dillon’s the young Nemo Camogie players had a good outing last Saturday. They played selections from Sarsfields and Rockban. The two games against Sarsfield were close but Nemo were unfortunate to loose both. They had better luck against Rockban and recorded a well-deserved win. The girls are enjoying their camogie and Saturday was a great experience for them. Well done girls.

Girls Fe 12 B Football League vs Naomh Aban Mon Jun 5th 

Played away the girls had a very competitive outing against rivals Naomh Aban on bank holiday Monday. The game was a very close affair but the home team took their goal chances better than Nemo. In the end Nemo lost 4-07 to 1-06. It was a good outing for the extended Nemo panel who played very well on the night.

Fe 14 C3 Football League vs Ballincollig Tues Jun 6th 

The Fe 14 C3 boys travelled to Ballincollig this week for a football league game. Short some regulars the Nemo boys struggled. They tried very hard throughout the game but the Ballincollig boys were that bit sharper especially in front of goal. In the end Ballincollig recorded a comfortable 2-12 to 0-05 win.

Street Leagues Finals day is this Saturday June the 10th. Parade at 11am with finals to follow in all codes. Presentations at 2.30pm. Please come along to support the boys and girls on the day. Nemo Rangers Cul Camp is on this year from Monday 3rd July to Friday 7th July inclusive. Registration is now live on This year the preferred option would be for parents to register online. But application forms are also available in reception. Camp is for boys and girls between the ages of 6-13. Times are 10.00am to 2:30pm each day.
