Minor Football Activity
On Wednesday 29th July the lads played Ballincollig at Trabeg in the Rebel Óg Fe 18 Premier 1 Football Championship Group 2. The visitors had a good 5-15 to 2-7 win.
The minors played Douglas in the Rebel Óg Fe 18 Premier 1 Football Championship Group 2 on Wednesday 12th August on a beautiful evening at Douglas. At half time the score was Douglas 0-10 to 0-4. The boys kept competing to the end and the game finished with a win for home team on score line of 1-17 to 1-8.
The lads next game is Glanmire away Wednesday 26th August.
Fe 16 Football Activity
The boys played St Michaels away in the Rebel Óg Fe 16 Premier 1 Football League Group 2 on Saturday 25th July. This was a cracking game with the St Michaels that bit sharper in front of goal. This was a very high scoring affair with the forwards on both sides in great form. Unfortunately for Nemo the St Michaels lads won the game 4-9 to 1-12.
Next up the boys have Mallow at home on Saturday 22nd August.
Fe 14 Football
The boys played Mallow at Trabeg on Monday 27th July in the Rebel Óg Fe 14 Premier 1 Football League Group 2. This was a thrilling game with goals galore. The Mallow lads prevailed on the night 5-5 to 4-5.
The boys played St Finbarr’s away on Monday 10th August. There were also some cracking goals in this game. Once more the Nemo boys were on the wrong end of a 3-12 to 3-4 score line. But it was a very good performance by the boys.
Fe 12 Football and Hurling activity
The Fe12 boys have been busy the last few weeks with lots of football and hurling games.
On the 3rd August in the Fe12 East Group 1A football we played Douglas away. It was a high scoring game with a high standard of football. The lads put in a good performance. Douglas came out in front 4-10 to 2-05.
Next up was St Nicks. On the 10th August the boys played St Nicks at Nemo in the next round of the East football Group 1A. This was cracking game of football. The score was level at the second water break 3-06 to 2-09. Ultimately St Nicks won by two points with St Nick getting a really good goal near the end to win it. It was a real good performance by the team.
The boys played Whitechurch in the Fe12 East Group 3B football on the 2nd of August at Nemo. The Nemo lads played a lot of good football. The football was of a high standard from both teams. In an entertaining game Whitechurch prevailed on a score line of 4-05 to 2-05.
Next up on the 9th August the lads played Midelton B in the East football Group 3B in Midleton. The game was played in glorious sunshine. Midleton won game but the lads played some great football on the evening.
We played Donoughmore away on the 1st August in the F12 Hurling Mid Group 2A. This was a high scoring and exciting game. Goals win games applied and Nemo registered a win 7-04 to 5-08.
On the 10th August the boys played Bishopstown in the F12 Hurling Mid Group 2A at Trabeg. At half time Bishopstown were up 1-4 to 0-02. The boys kept playing to the end. Bishopstown ended up winning the game with a fine second half performance.
Minor Girls Football Activity
The girls played Naomh Abán on the 5th August at Nemo. This was an exciting game with some fine scores from both teams. The Trabeg outfit came out on top by three points in a tight encounter.
Girls Fe 16 Football Activity
The A team played Carrigaline in the U16A League away to Carriagline. This was a tight game with Carrigaline the stronger team on the day. Next up was Naomh Abán in the U16A League on the 9th August at Nemo. This was an edge of the seat game. There were lots of fine scores. It ended in a draw 5-6 to 4-9.
The C team played Eire Óg also 9th August. Eire Óg prevailed on the day. The girls kept playing to the end and scored some fantastic points and goals.
Girls Fe 14 Football Activity
The girls have been very busy with lots of games at home and away.
On the 22nd July the A team played Carrigaline at home. This was an entertaining game with lots of scores. The Carrigaline girls registered more scores on the day. The A team played Eire Óg away on the 13th August. In slippery conditions the girls kept competing but the home team registered a win.
The C team started their campaign at home to St Val’s on the 22nd July. It was a day for the forwards with lots of fine scores. The St Val’s girls came out on top.
The C team played Donoughmore away on the 5th August. In a high scoring game Donoughmore were more clinical and registered more on the score sheet.
The C team played Douglas C at Trabeg on the 14th August. This game was end to end despite the slippery conditions. There were some fine points and goals scored. The Douglas girls were that bit sharper on the night.
Girls Fe 12 Football Activity
The Fe 12 girls have had a very busy month on the football field. The A team played Douglas away on 8th August. They come up just short of the Douglas girls. The A team played St Val’s at home on 15th August. This was an entertaining game with some fine point taking and goal scoring. The girls recorded an excellent win playing some of the best football the team has played this year.
The C team played St Val’s at home 26th July. St Val’s came out on top in a tight game. On 15th August at home the C team played St Val’s C team. The away team registered a win.
Minor Girls Camogie Activity
The Fe 18 girls made the trip down to Kealkil for their first game of championship against St Colums on Sunday 16th August. This was a close and entertaining encounter. In a tight first half with defences on top Nemo were four points up. The Nemo girls sustained a strong comeback from St Colums in the second half. The Trabeg outfit held on to record a full-time score St Colums 1-6 Nemo Rangers 2-7.
Fe 14 Camogie Activity
Th Fe 14 girls had their first game of the championship away to Bandon 13th August. It was a scorching evening for camogie. The girls were very competitive against a good team. However, the Bandon girls got the scores on the scoreboard. Next up the girls have Brian Dillons at home 27th August.
Fe 12 Camogie Activity
The Fe 12 girls played their first game of the season against Bishopstown at Trabeg on 16th August. There were fine displays of camogie skills from both sides. The girls kept playing till the end. It was great to see some of the girls playing their first competitive Camogie game. Bishopstown proved too strong for the girls.
