Minute by minute match updates, senior football team and player statistics now added to the website
We've been doing a lot of work on the website over the summer, adding some new features which you may have noticed.
For players who have played Senior Football Championship, whether at county, Munster or All-Ireland level, we have now added statistics for these players to the website.
These player profiles, together with their statistics, can be accessed through the new Senior Football section of the website.
You can view each players Senior Football Championship games, together with statistics including the number of games they have played, how much they have scored and, for goalkeepers, the number of clean sheets they have kept, among other information.
You can also look at the details for all the senior football championship games going back to 1958.
Note: these statistics may be incorrect in some instances, and we will continue to update the database to fill any gaps and improve the accuracy of the information.
We would welcome any comments or feedback on this feature.
We are also looking at providing game updates directly on the game page on the website rather than relying solely on social media, and we have implemented a feature to do this. If you go into any game where updates are being provided, we are adding these directly to the game page. For example, last weekends Senior Football Championship Quarter Final against Castlehaven.
This is a work in progress and we are currently testing the feature. You may have noticed it being used during some of the recent hurling and football championship games. Again, any comments or feedback on this new feature would be welcomed.
We have also added a Match Momentum feature, which looks at which team has been doing the scoring during different periods of a game. This should give you a good snapshot of how a game is progressing or, after the final whistle, how the game unfolded.
We hope you like the new features on the website, which we are continuing to improve.
Keep an eye out for further updates and new features.
