Jim Cremin Over 35s Memorial Tournament

Nemo Rangers are delighted to host the 4th annual Jim Cremin Memorial Tournament, our much-loved Over-35s football showdown — where experience, guile, and questionable fitness collide in honour of a true club legend.

This event was established to mark the passing of one of the Nemo greats – Jim Cremin. Jim was in many ways the heartbeat of the club. As a player and coach he was involved across numerous teams over many years from underage to Junior B football to Junior hurling and senior football. However, Jim was much more than a coach – he was a mentor, inspiration, problem solver, sports psychologist (ever before they were popular), masseur, legal counsel and confidante.

Jim didn’t care who you were or what colours you wore, if you needed help he was there for you. Much of the work he did and support he provided to students in his role as a teacher in Coláiste Chríost Rí and in Nemo was unseen – he never looked for credit, he just got on with it in a quiet and understated way.

This tournament has become a staple of our club calendar — a day full of banter, nostalgia, and the odd pulled hamstring. The football may have all the intensity of senior championship of 15 years ago… just with slightly less pace, stamina, and strength!

We're delighted to welcome to all clubs to Trabeg including defending champions Ballincollig alongside Bishopstown & Castlehaven who have supported us each year. We especially extend a warm welcome to Fulham Irish from London and Templeougue Synge Street who are travelling from afar as well all other clubs participating.
