Nemo Rangers Street Leagues
What are the Street Leagues?

The Nemo Rangers Street Leagues are now in their 54th year having started in 1971. This is where the juvenille members of the club first get their taste of hurling, camogie and football.
Mini games are played between small team ensuring every child gets a chance to get on the ball.
Traditionally, the teams were made up of children from the same area or street, but in recent years, the teams have been made up of children from all over the club. This has helped to build friendships and bonds between children who may not have met otherwise.
Each year, the Street Leagues culminate in a finals day where all the children get to march behind a pipe band in the parade to open finals day before playing finals in hurling, football and camogie. This is a great day out for all the children and their families. Each child gets a medal and a party bag and there are fun activities for the children throughout the day.
In 2025, the Street Leagues will be held on Friday evenings from 6pm to 8pm for the under 7s to the under 10s and finals day is on Saturday the 14th of June in Trabeg. The Street Leagues finals are open to all children from 5 to 10 years of age.

Whether your child is new to the sport or looking to take their skills to the next level, Nemo Rangers is the place for them. We invite all children, regardless of experience, to come and give Gaelic games a try. Training is open to all, and everyone is welcome to get involved. Together, we’ll teach them the joy of sports and the importance of being part of a community.

2025 Street League Finals Day
Our 2025 Street League Finals day is on the 14th of June. We have a fun filled day planned.
A message from our 2025 Street Leagues Chairman
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the 54th Annual Street Leagues Finals Day – one of the standout events on the underage calendar here at Nemo Rangers.
We are deeply grateful to our generous sponsors whose support makes this day possible with a special mention to John Kidd and John Wallace of Morleys, who have sponsored our Street Leagues for many decades!
I want to acknowledge the continued support of Pat Murphy, Chair of the Underage Committee, the Senior Club Committee and the Ladies Committee in making this event possible.
Thanks to Paudie O'Sullivan and his team for preparing the pitches every Friday evening, ensuring our players have the best possible facilities to enjoy the game.
Of course, our deepest thanks is to our incredible underage coaches – not just for their time and dedication to Street Leagues, but for the guidance and inspiration they provide all year round. Many of our coaches started their own Nemo journey here in Street Leagues.
This year, we are proud to have over 330 boys and girls taking part in our Street Leagues. It's a wonderful reminder of the strength of our underage section and the bright future ahead for Nemo Rangers.
A special mention for the boys and girls of 2015 who play in their last street leagues today. Some of these have played street leagues since 4 and 5 years of age!
Wishing all our players the very best of luck in their games. Play with pride, play with joy, and most of all – have fun.
Let's make it a Finals Day to remember!

Street Leagues Poem
Nemo rangers is a way of living.
It is an attitude to life.
As long as we are true to the values on our crest.
As long as we bring our talents to the altar of Nemo Rangers
And give of those talents freely and for all
Be that talent, the kicking of the winning point in Croke Park like Colin Corkery
Or tying the shoelace of a young boy or girl here in Trábeg on their first Street League
Day.
As long as we do that,
hurleys will swing
and leather will be plucked from the sky
by children of pluck and dash and courage.
And the sound of the war song will always be played.
And they will continue to March along Capwell.
And they too will make their memories.
And they too will revel in lifelong friendships.
- Jim Cremin
